MEET OUR DOCTORS

All of our doctors are DPA/TPA certified to manage and treat ocular diseases and infections.

We have a highly trained staff including certified licensed opticians, lab technicians and frame stylists, most of them being at Homer Township Vision Center for over ten years. We are dedicated to providing our patients with the newest, best and most professional eyecare available.

Homer Township Vision Center is affiliated with the TLC Laser Center in Westmont, IL. We pre-screen and examine potential lasik patients and co-manage post-lasik surgery.

Dr. Dennis W. Kirscher
Optometrist
Dr. Kirscher, a family vision specialist with emphasis on contact lenses has practiced with Homer Township Vision Center since 1990.

Upon his graduation from the Illinois College of Optometry, Dr. Kirscher received the Albert H. Rodriquez Award for research in contact lenses. He served as a Clinical Assistant Professor at the Illinois College of Optometry for seven years. During that time he published research and lectured nationally in the fields of Orthokeratology and Sports Vision. He continued to receive various awards for his contributions to the professions of Optometry.

He is a current member of the American & Illinois Optometric Associations and is a member of Peace Memorial Church where he served as president and on the Board of Trustees.

Dr. Glenn D. Kueltzo
Optometrist
Dr. Kueltzo, also a family vision specialist, has practiced with Homer Township Vision Center for over five years. He continues his work at The Eye Care Center in Burbank, where he has practiced for over thirty years.

Dr. Kueltzo graduated Cum Laude from the Illinois College of Optometry. He is a current member of the Hickory Hills Lions Club where he has served as president, secretary and treasurer, and is a member of Peace Memorial Church where he served several terms on the Board of Trustees. He has been designated a noteworthy practitioner by the Beta Sigma Kappa Honor Fraternity.

Dr. Allison E. Murchison, M.D.
Board Certified Ophthalmologist
Dr. Murchison, a comprehensive ophthalmologist caring for adults and children, has recently begun to practice at the Homer Township Vision Center. Her primary practice location, Allison E. Murchison M.D., S.C., opened in Lemont in 2002. Before opening her own practice, she spent six years in a large
ophthalmology practice with offices in Oak Park, River Forest, Evanston and Glenview.

Dr. Murchison graduated from Stanford University and completed her premedical studies, before earning her Doctorate in Medicine at Rush Medical College. She completed her ophthalmology residency training at Rush Presbyterian St. Luke’s Medical Center in 1995. The American Board of Ophthalmology certified her in 1998. She is a fellow in the American Academy of Ophthalmology and a member of the Illinois Association of Ophthalmology. Her research interests include refractive cataract surgery and coagulation profiles in diabetics.

Dr. Murchison is on the medical surgery staff at Advocate Good Samaritan Hospital, Downers Grove; Midwest Center for Day Surgery, Downers Grove; Silver Cross Hospital, Joliet; Adventist Hinsdale Hospital; Hinsdale Surgical Center; and Glenbrook Hospital, Glenview. Jeanine L. Reding
Certified Optician
Jeanine, an American Board of Opticianry licensed Optician since 1980, created Homer Township Vision Center in 1988. She started in the optical industry in 1974 and has been a fellow of the National Academy of Opticianry since 1981.

Jeanine is a Charter Member and current Board Member of the Goodings Grove Lions Club. She is also a charter member and Past President of the Homer Township Chamber of Commerce and continues as a Board of Trustee.
